HRTS Launches First-Ever Winter Coat Drive to Support Local Students in Sterling, VA

Sterling, VA  The Hunger Response Team of Sterling (HRTS), a 501(c)(3) organization, is proud to announce its first-ever Winter Coat Drive, running from September 16th to October 6th, 2024. With a goal of collecting 600 coats, HRTS is seeking new and gently used coats for students in need at nine local schools: Forest Grove Elementary, Guilford Elementary, Potowmack Elementary, Rolling Ridge Elementary, Sterling Elementary, Sully Elementary, Sterling Middle School, Roby High School, and Park View High School.


"Every coat donated can make a real difference in a child's life, helping them stay warm and healthy throughout the winter months," said Nikki Smith Acierto, HRTS Board Co-Chairperson. "We are calling on the community to step up and help us reach our goal of 600 coats for local students and families."


Coat Drive Drop-Off Locations:

St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, MBA Majest Martial Arts, Hair Cuttery (Dulles Retail Plaza), Local Provisions Restaurant as well as several Sterling area day care centers.

The Hunger Response Team of Sterling is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting the needs of the Sterling, Virginia, community.
