Instead of another coffee mug or scented candle, honor your teacher by sponsoring a student through the HRTS Backpack Buddies program.
With your donation, you'll be providing weekend meals for a child in need—right here in our Sterling, VA schools—and letting teachers know their work truly matters.
Through our Backpack Buddies program, we provide six meals every week to the following schools: Potowmack E.S., Rolling Ridge E.S., Sully E.S., Horizon E.S., Algonkian, E.S., River Bend M.S., Potomac Falls H.S. Additional support helps provide food, diapers, counseling, and more so we can continue to help those in need.

How it Works
Make a donation in a teacher’s name

$10 = weekend meals for one student

$40 = a month of support for one student

$100 = multiple children sponsored
